Pots and pans are kitchen basics... other than knives. Good food, is greatly determined by the chef himself but also influenced by the type of pots you have. I was a little skeptic at first about investing a lot of $$ or buying similar pans like the ones I grew up and learned how to cook in. Basically I just wanted to duplicate whatever my mom had in her kitchen.
While searching online for deals, I actually won some vouchers if I sat through a 90min presentation and to my surprise it was a Royal Prestige Pots chat. The sales guy cooked us all this yummy food while he talked. They also sell these durable spoons, specifically for those midnight ice cream snack breaks, when you stick in your big soup spoon and because the ice cream is frozen your spoon usually bends back- but not RP's. Their spoon will never bend and you'll be able to scoop out your ice cream for years to come.
Another thing he showed us were plates- those are durable too. He threw them on the floor and hit them against the counter and they wouldn't break. I was actually tempted in getting them for my daily/casual set but they didn't have too many color options.
Back to the pots, you don't need as much water or oil to cook things. They heat up super fast and some of them can be stacked on top of another so that you cook two things at the same time from one burner- it's incredible!!! The price will also take you back... that is why we didn't go through with any purchase. After collecting my vouchers, I knew my grandfather used to sell Royal Prestige pots and he had to have some connections. Thankfully, he was able to hook me up with a complete beginner set and knives and additional larger pots for when it's my turn to make my first Thanksgiving Dinner!!!
I love these pots- Royal Prestige has come up with some type of new innovation that their stuff is made of 9-plys of metals and it holds in heat and vapors so that your food cooks faster and won't burn.
If anyone wants this connection and would like to save a few hundred bucks please let me know and I can forward my grandfather's information to you.

As any girl, I love shopping! And it is even more fun when you are handed that blessed store scanner... I honestly felt like the heavens departed and the sun was shining on me as doves flew down to give me the scanning gun- a little too dramatic, I know :)
